Donald McInnes

Is a 30 year veteran of natural resource development. He was an early adopter of using natural resource projects as tools for sustainable societal success. Since 1993, Mr. McInnes has been the founder, president and director of a number of publicly traded mineral exploration companies. He has been a change agent at the nexus of inclusionary natural resource development and public policy.

He was the Founder of Kutcho Copper Corp. (formerly Western Keltic Mines Inc.) and the Founder, Vice-Chair and CEO of Plutonic Power Corporation, which invested $1 billion on clean energy projects in British Columbia. He was a co-founder of True Gold Mining, Sun Metals, True North Nickel, Nauticol Energy, Arizona Sonoran Copper and served on the Boards of Fronteer Gold, Royal Nickel Corporation, North Coal Limited and Aurelius Minerals Inc. Mr. McInnes is a past Chair and Director of the Independent Power Producers Association of British Columbia, a Governor of the Business Council of British Columbia, past President and Director of the Association for Mineral Exploration British Columbia, and past Director of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada.

He is a recipient of AME BC’s Gold Pan Award, a Lifetime Achievement Award from CEBC, an EY Entrepreneur of the Year Award, the John Ferguson Award from Prostate Cancer Canada and holds a Honorary Doctor of Technology Degree from BCIT.
